Before Camaros and Mustangs roamed the earth, before Chevelles, GTOs, 442s,
Superbees, Roadrunners, and Cudas ever existed, and at a time when the first V8
Corvette ever been built the Chevrolet Hardtop BelAir debuted.
It may not be considered a muscle car by definition, but it is America’s hot rod
of the fifties, sixties, seventies and today!
This particular car is to receive a new floor, quarter panels, doors and hood.
The body of this car was chosen due to its extremely nice condition around the
front and rear windshields.
This 55 is being built to the order of a car enthusiast who would like a big
block in his “shoe box”.
Our chassis builder will be installing a Fatman front clip with stainless steel
A-plates, coil over shocks, drilled and slotted Wilwood brakes with polished
calipers and rack and pinion steering.
The back of the car will receive a 45 degree stainless steel four link, coil
over shocks and a Strange 9” Ford rear differential with 3.50 gears, and Wilwood
brakes to match the front.
A custom firewall will allow our big block some breathing room and for the
installation of a Zoops posi trac accessory system which includes air
conditioning.
